History

The Junior League of Omaha was granted Junior League status in 1919, becoming the 26th League created in the United States. The 68 charter-member League was led by founders Harriet Smith Whiting, Rachel Kincade Gallagher and Elizabeth Davis. Since 1919, the Junior League of Omaha has worked to create and sustain projects and organizations that address the needs women and children, health, education, domestic violence, mental health and physical disabilities.
