Today we’d like to introduce you to Sommer Lassiter! Sommer is in her third active year with the League and serves on our Done-in-a-Day Committee as an Event Coordinator.

Sommer joined the League after moving to Omaha. In her own words, “As a feminist who strongly values public service, Junior League was a promising opportunity to serve the community with an empowered network of women leaders in Omaha.”

Sommer continues to stay involved in the League because of its openness to progress and positive change. “The women in JLO are full of new ideas to bring to the table, and to know they are being heard, cultivated and implemented fills me with optimism for the League’s future.”

Are you ready to join the League? Sommer’s advice to anyone interested, “Join because of the things the League has to offer, but also join because of the things you have to offer the League. Join for the history and pride of the League, but also join to be a contributor in its future.” We couldn’t have said it better! We look forward to Sommer’s continued involvement in the League and in the community.
