The Mentorship Committee kicked off its year on Oct. 26, 2017, at The Makery with about 25 members participating in a fun succulent craft. There was a big reveal of the mentors and mentees at the beginning of the night, followed by a chance for the pairs to socialize and get to know one another.

The pairs also had fun with the succulent bar, selecting their own pots and other items to personalize their souvenir succulents.

Participants gave great feedback on the activity and are taking bets on whose succulents, ranging from western to kitty-themed, will last the longest!

The committee is encouraging the pairs to post photos of them hanging out with the hashtag #JLOMENTORSHIP.

The next Mentorship event is March 14, 2018, to celebrate another great year for the program and build excitement for next year.

Based on extra interest this year from New Members, the committee is hoping for a lot of experienced League members to sign up to be mentors next year.
