2010

In conjunction with Rave Digital Motion Picture Theaters and Warner Bros. Pictures, the Junior League was granted permission to host an advance screening of Sex and the City 2 on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, the day before the national release of the film.

Toast to Omaha came to an end and a new fundraiser took its place — Big Red Block Party — in October.

2011

Two new projects were introduced: A Book of My Own and Project Hope Pack. Retired Kids in the Kitchen project.

Held a new fundraiser — High Heel Dash — with Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan as the Emcee.

The Junior League of Omaha was selected to be one of the Cox Classic Charities.

Awarded two $3,000 scholarships to graduating seniors

2012

Projects included: The Literacy Project (dba - A Book of My Own), Family Works, Project Hope Pack and Done-in-a-Day.

Fundraisers included: American Girl Fashion Show, Annual Fund Campaign, Annual Guild Fair, Big Red Block Party, Cox Classic, High Heel Dash, my closet, Riverfront Wine Festival, Support A Survivor Fundraiser, Talk Chick Lit and Toast to Omaha Cookbook.

A Book of My Own gave away more than 11,000 books to children who need them with the help of community partners such as schools, businesses and churches that held book drives for new and gently-used books. Partner agencies including Completely KIDS, Kids Can, Boys and Girls Club, Christ Child Society, Building Bright Futures and Girls Inc. helped distribute the books.

Project Hope Pack supplied 24 backpacks to CASA of Douglas County.

Retired the my closet fundraiser and closed the retail store. Due to its popularity, the annual my closet Prom Dress Giveaway Event will continue as part of the DIAD project. Retired the Family Works project with Heartland Family Services.

The Junior League of Omaha was a Community Organization of the Night at the Omaha Storm Chasers baseball game held April 7, 2012.

Awarded $1,500 community grants to each of the following organizations: Holy Family Church, inCOMMON, Habitat for Humanity and the Open Door Mission.

2013

Projects for the 2012-2013 year: Literacy Project - A Book of My Own, Project Hope Pack, and Done-in-a-Day - Cinderella’s Closet.

Fundraisers for the 2012-13 League year:  Cox Classic, Big Red Block Party, Poinsettias Sales, American Girl Fashion Show, Annual Fund Campaign, Brix Fashion Show and High Heel Dash. Implemented a corporate sponsorship program.

Launched the new Junior League of Omaha website www.jlomaha.org.

Moved League headquarters to 12135 Pacific Street

Awarded two $1,500 college scholarships for outstanding community service, with the financial assistance of the Junior League of Omaha Foundation

2014

Projects for 2013-2014 year: Literacy Project- A Book of My Own (giving 21,000 books throughout the year), Project Hope Pack (giving 914 backpacks throughout the year), Career Development Series.

Fundraisers for the 2013-2014 year:  Cox Classic, Big Red Block Party, Barn Bash, American Girl Fashion Show, JLO Laughs, Annual Fund- Inspire Campaign, Brix Fashion Show and High Heel Dash.

Awarded three $1,500 college scholarships for outstanding community service with financial assistance from the Junior League of Omaha Foundation

Honored the anniversary classes of 2004, 1989, 1974, 1964, 1954, 1944, and 1934 for their continued membership.
